Seems to be resolved by now. Last wrong reading January 7, since then the values change again.

As far as I can tell, this appears to now have been fixed? Checking that datafeed page (linked in the post) shows the latest "inworld_updated_slt" as today, just a couple minutes ago.

Erik Mondrian just noticed this too when I logged in, it is definitely working now! Fingers crossed it stays like this!

This happened before, it was reported and quickly fixed. If it was just a bug, how come it hasn't been fixed in nearly 3 weeks?
AlettaMondragon Resident
Bavid Dailey Seeing that it is working now, I suspect they had more serious things to sort out before the holidays, then they just got to it now. When the world map wasn't working it took several months, twice, to get it working again, so this is not so bad.

User Concurrency not being reported since December 6
Count Burks
The API providing the user logins is stuck since December 6. Several people have been speaking about this on the forums.

I'm so glad this has already been reported and addressed, I do have a specific question, though.
Maestro Linden Did the "inworld" and "signups" numbers stop updating on 6 December because of a bug or were the updates stopped on purpose because the SLV doesn't show this data on the login splash screen anymore?
If I'm not mistaken there is no LSL function to retrieve the online users value so this broke the TPV splash screens, inworld scripted devices and third party survey websites as well, and most importantly, we have no idea how many "users" are logged in at any given time. I mean, at least 29914 looks nicer than the ever dwindling numbers, and most of the accounts logged in at any given time are bots, NPCs for games and traffic cheater alts, but it is pretty bad if we don't even know how many of us MIGHT be here, estimated from how much the current number is above 26000.
Maestro Linden
I believe the numbers stopped updating because of a bug.

Maestro Linden I noticed there might be some connection between this and the login and inventory issues that we had on that day. The updates stopped about 15 hours before this, so I guess it is not the fix to this issue that broke the updates, maybe the source of the two could be the same, though? https://secondlife-status.statuspage.io/incidents/cjn3twjlfszd
There were some similar issues since Nov 27 so maybe Dec 6 was when the signups and inworld number updates got finally knocked out by the server issues.

API Failing to Update Current Users
Nalates Urriah
The Second Life population statistics API endpoint has not been updating the inworld (concurrent users) data since December 6, 2025 at 04:03:00 SLT. The API continues to return HTTP 200 status codes but provides stale data that is now 9+ days old.
