I often make vendor images with unusual proportions, those other than the common 1:1 or 3:4.

For this issue, I have vendor images that are 1:2 - extra wide.

On the category and search result pages (attachment 1), these images are being stretched to fit the container, which looks lousy.

On my store's page however (attachment 2), they display in the correct aspect ratio with white space above and below. This is how I expect they should look on all parts of the site - never stretched or squashed from their originally-uploaded proportions.

This issue does not occur with tall vendor images, like 2:1.
