Sync in-world profile pictures to my.secondlife.com

It would be nice if the profile picture that we use in our in-world profiles would sync across all profile picture instances, including my.secondlife.com.
One thing that's mildly irritated me for years is the fact that the profile picture which displays on my.secondlife.com is not consistent with the profile picture that people use in world. There's no way to update the picture on my.secondlife.com from the web, it can only be updated using SL's official viewer, and like many users, I use a third party viewer. This means that unless I download the official viewer specifically to update that, I'm stuck with an old picture there. I'm certain plenty of others are in the same situation and would appreciate a more consistent experience across all profile iterations.

While we really like this suggestion and we do plan to do something like it, we are not going to do it in the proposed fashion. Please keep an eye out for future releases and maybe you’ll see an approach we’ve taken that addresses your concerns.
Incoming suggestions are reviewed in the order they are received by a team of Lindens with diverse areas of expertise. We consider a number of factors: Is this change possible? Will it increase lag? Will it break existing content? Is it likely that the number of residents using this feature will justify the time to develop it? While I experienced the same issue for a very short while, I guess that it's safe to close this request (and all others merged into this), since things seem to be working again.

Open my.second.life/pat.perth. The profile picture shown there is NOT the picture I show in SL, or even in the upper right corner of the page I'm looking at right now. The RL picture isn't correct either.

I too want an urgent fix for this. On some accounts, I will change my display picture via the official SL viewer and it will NEVER update in my 'FEED' tab or on the website. This makes SL kind of annoying to enjoy, since I am one of those people that still regularly posts pictures etc on my SL feed and not Flickr, but having a non-updating profile feed really hinders this experience. Please apply a fix A.S.A.P.

Not only that, even on the official SL viewer, it is no longer updating. It is bugged to hell and back. Please fix this as soon as possible because it is really a turn off for those of us that actively use our profiles for photos and what-not.

I've updated mine a few times using Firestorm. The trick is to log in and out of mysecondlife.com a few times and it will stick. Works for me.

I've found even when using the official viewer it takes ages for the profile picture to sync to the website sometimes I'm not sure it actually does until a second picture is uploaded. Not sure where the disconnect/delay is.
This issue started as soon as they made the "rebuilt" classic profiles viewer feature official.
