Would be nice to have a setting in the webpages that lets you use a dark background isntead of the blinding white thats hard on some of our eyes without having to use an outside plugin for our browser. Much like they have for the forums.

Website Dark mode
KnoxRemington Resident
As someone with vision impairments, including blindness in one eye, I often find it challenging to comfortably read content on the current website due to the bright white background. High brightness and contrast levels can cause significant eye strain, reduce readability, and make extended use difficult or even discouraging.
Introducing an optional dark mode would greatly improve accessibility, not just for me, but for many others in the community who experience visual sensitivities, light sensitivity, or other accessibility needs. Dark mode has become a widely adopted feature across modern platforms because it enhances usability, reduces eye fatigue, and allows users to tailor their experience to what works best for them.
Providing this option would demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusivity and user-centered design. It would help ensure that Second Life’s web platforms are welcoming and accessible to a broader range of users, ultimately improving engagement and satisfaction across the community.
I sincerely hope you will consider implementing a dark mode option, as it would make a meaningful difference in the overall user experience.

Dark mode also functions as an accessibility feature, since it makes the webpage more comfortable/usable for some of those who are visually impaired, or who struggle with light sensitivity.

Dark Mode should be handled on browser level. Web pages can set hints, but dark mode should always be a browser-based user-controlled setting.
We are slowly getting there, as webdesigners slowly begin to adapt it. The browser manufacturers are faster, and pick up the OS settings.

Peter Stindberg, I get what you are saying, but I do think they need to have it available. I am just sugesting the use of the same options they have on the blog and forums, in the themes settings, to be avialable for the dashboard and marketplace. This is still a user-controlled setting. To me at least this is a much simpler option.
