HELP with Marketplace search
Nalates Urriah
Gachas are making many searches WAY frustrating by burying anything other than gachas. See: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/524033-marketplace-sorting/
Consider adding an A.I. search feature. Possibly only for Premium and Premium+ users.

This feature is kind of already there. After you search something, on the left where the categories are, at the bottom where you can filter your results by permissions (mod, copy, transfer), there's a section called "Do not show" with a checkbox to hide limited quantity items and/or demo items. I use that constantly to hide gacha items. You have to turn it on each time you search, but it would be nice if we had the option in settings to turn it on or off permanently.

Hiding gacha should be enabled by default instead of disabled. Enabling it assumes people are looking for gacha by default when most people aren't. I worry most people don't understand gacha, especially new users which can alienate new users who spend L$ on gacha by mistake.
Search should remember your settings, including showing gacha persistently between sessions by saving search settings as account data in the server database so search is consistent across devices.
Showing gacha by default harms original content creators by allowing resellers to create huge amounts of listings (some gacha stores have over 10,000 listings), makes search difficult by adding lots of irrelevant and duplicate results. Gacha listings are usually very low quality often only having a description that's the item name and a disclaimer there is no support or refunds because they didn't make the item and is no copy. A lot of gacha listings are very old, like 5 or 10+ years older. this means they've never sold once since they are limited quantity and will probably never ever sell since they are outdated.
The only benefit to showing limited quantity items by default is to appease gacha resellers.

No need to complicate the code with AI. We have checkboxes for settings such as permissions, demos, limited-quantity items, etc. Right now those settings are per-search. All they need to do is make it possible for us to make those settings permanent/persistent

You can click the filter lower left to not show limited quantity items and get them all out. https://gyazo.com/d0426381b50e318c2879ba9e80162a0d
