Intergrating Marketplace with Caspervend

Currently if you purchase something in world via Caspervend there is nothing notating this purchase on the marketplace or vice versa. Connecting the two to so both are aware of what you've purchased before would have multiple benefits.
1) Reorders - You would not need to hunt down a store location for reorders. If a store does decide to eliminate their in world presence, you would still be able to request a reorder via marketplace.
2) Eliminating Duplicate Purchases - Some of us have a rather obscene inventory count. It can be rather easy to accidentally purchase something on the MP or in world that you've already purchased via the other system. Specially since names of items can be different on MP vs in world.
3) Reviews - If you purchase something in world you can't review it on the marketplace. This prohibits you from supporting your favorite stores on the MP or providing valid criticism.
4) Eliminate Duplicate Work - Currently store owners have to do double the work, listing both on the MP and in world. This can take a considerable amount of your time, which could instead be spent enjoying Second Life or creating even more products.

I am 100% for combining the systems, with the caveat that we don't end up paying the 10% MP fee for in-world purchases sales!
It would be super cool if people who bought things in-world (verified purchase) could leave MP reviews! The majority of my sales happen in-world because, with furniture, most people prefer to try before buying.

Since they made the caspervend gang an official part of SL, I figured the next step would be to merge it's functionality into the marketplace eventually.
It would be really nice cause at the moment if you want to use caspervend you have to shove everything into a chain of boxes if you want to have any semblance of organization.
If I could connect a in-world vendor directly to a product on the MP that'd be great cause then it could still retain the folder structure as well.

+1 here. As my catalogue increases, it becomes more and more of a chore keeping both in-world and marketplace stores in sync, especially with price fluctuations.

Auto connect information between Marketplace and Caspervend integration

Customers have to fiddle around with redelivery terminals, gift functionality and general clunkiness with vendor purchases.
Creators have to maintain both Caseprvend and Marketplace at high effort cost, and uodates.
Caspervend still uses DropBoxes.
Marketplace migrated off these historically.
This remains a bifurcated procress for both customers and creators with both having the opportunity to be streamlined and more effective, combined with joining data elements together.
Functional ask - Customer:
Centralise redelivery to the website and not having to find redelivery terminals inworld for non marketplace items.
Functional ask - Creator:
- User only uses the Upload to Marketplace function on the viewer and associated workflows available today and Dropboxes are demised..
- On Population of the Product data and information on Marketplace, provide an additional field to publish to caspervend at the save button (default to on). Upon saving the Product data user can select Marketplace and Caspervend (or a combination of either) on where to publish to..
- Not yet thought through - the best way to then set up the vendors to the products (back to legacy Caspervend is not ideal) so potentially porting this into the new view online for users at marketplace.
- Caspervend to deliver from The Marketplace source, not Dropboxes.
Future ask:
- Server set up to Product consolidate into one interface (e.g. marketplace).
- The wealth of reporting Caspervend provides, consolidate and provide an interface for product sellers integrated with Marketplace trends and analysis.
Caspevend has limitations on the web front end for users
(A) no templates for products, or quick fill for example.
There are key differences between Caspervend and Marketplace
(B) Variants etc and data points differ and are not normalised between the two.
Marketplace has limitations on customer reporting and data
(C) Leverage the Caspervend methodology to provide more reporting suites and tools for those listing on marketplace KPIs and Customer reports could be leveraged.

A great idea and since Linden Lab bought Casper it is time to integrate a single system for the Marketplace and the vendors in the world.

This would be awesome as a customer of all things SL!

Great idea, agree!

I would like to suggest integrating the casper system with a section dedicated to bloggers. It could be structured like blogotex or allomancy. For designers and creators who use Casper it would be a great advantage to use a single platform for managing sales and advertising

MARKETING - Link in-world and MP store ... to make real special offers in-world ...
Woolfyy Resident
i-e if you have a product in an in-world vendor it is also considered as a MP store product, and vice-versa BUT the price can be preferential in-world ...
Use =
1/ develop the in-world traffic to buy products at a special price (for example with daily or weekly special offers or participation to events)
2/ make synergies with the MP (special offers in-world while MP store with the normal price)
3/ being consistent with users so that they can get upgrades on products (rolling releases) and avoid the frustration of stupidly buying twice the same product.
BTW it would avoid that stupid game consisting of just proposing a little lower price on in-world products just based on SL commissions. If done correctly the extra MP store LL commission do not matter at all as it is covered by bigger volumes in sales.
PS: A dedicated text area on each MP store would help make it even more efficient and it would be even more efficient if linked to the destination guide .. In real world it is part of what is named "cross selling". Once again, LL is "stone age" in terms of marketing for creators. Moreover the idea is to develop paid products offers, not to end up each time with users rushing on events only to free products areas.
