Selling Linden Dollars (LS) and the economy is broken! Help the breeders!
Monamaldita Resident
Since the change in the sale of LS was made, breeders have been suffering from the inflation generated by the change. Selling for LS is becoming more and more disadvantageous and we have to work harder and harder to earn the minimum we used to. At the same time, we don't want to affect customers by increasing the price of products and, on the other hand, the grid has not been able to get more customers to compensate for the new increase.
Currently, as I write this, in the market sale option:
Offer to Sell Linden Dollars (Limit Sell)
Sale of the day: 262 LS for 1 dollar.
In this conversion, we have to make 310,000 LS to receive 1,0000 Dollars (already discounting the sales and PayPal fees).
In the other option, it's even worse!
Sell Linden Dollars (Market Sell)
Number of LS: 325,000 LS
To receive 1,0000 Dollars (already discounting the selling and PayPal fees).
Please return to the old version of the market, but with a quick withdrawal of one day per month or at most TWO days per month, so that the economy is more controlled!
Or buy and take LS out of circulation to reduce the inflation generated by your decisions.
We have kept the game alive for years, many have more than one store and live off of Second Life! Please think of us and protect the economy!
Thank you!

This reads to me as complaints that your business model has a problem, given the regulatory and economic environment Linden has to operate in. I’m not sure Tilia can legally return to the old way of doing things.

It’s very easy to ask someone else to solve one’s problems. I know for certain LL has been actively working to attract new people. Have you done anything about it too? or do you just log in to cash out?

I agree, I used to be able to count on my sales, now its a struggle every month just to keep the shop doors open. No, I don,t want to raise my prices, that doesn't help anyone. Labs has over 3 million a month income just in rented land, or did as of a few months ago.
People leaving because of the price to purchase and sell linden - is directly reflected in our sales, 80K residents online has become 30K.
Something more than fluff and stuff needs to be done because when the creators go, the world crumbles.

Unpopular opinion but it is a valid alternative:
Sell your L$ on alternative exchange services.
There's exchanges for people whom don't like the high fees of buying from LL directly as well as people who don't want to tie their payment info to SL for whatever reason. In either case it means more of the money stays between the buyer/seller as the middleman is cut out of circuit.

Moo Boo I doubt they are legal!

mjyothis Resident They are explicitly prohibited in the ToS.

I’m not sure why you're focusing on breeders specifically, when the drop in the Linden/USD rate impacts everyone earning real income in SL — whether they’re sellers, landlords, service providers, or creators.
I agree with the feedback and definitely think a serious discussion around the Lindex is needed (personally, I believe we’d all benefit from a fixed rate). But I don’t really see how this is a breeder-only issue.

Aglaia Resident breeders log into SL just to cash out and not contribute to the community at all, so they are more sensitive to these changes.
They will not innovate their product nor find new customers outside of SL so the only option is to raise the prices.

Your market is broken because it's flooded with products so your sales are down.
That's the ultimate fate every single breedable in sl. It has nothing to do with LL, everything with the way breedables work, given that everyone can breed and sell.
Your life lesson: don't try to make an online game your main or sole source of income.

Linden Lab also has to pay bills. It's not actually free to run Second Life. It costs a lot of money. If they don't make money, there is no platform left for you to make money. Consider that before complaining about how onerous things are on you.
Aglaia Resident
Liberty Fairelander Linden Lab doesn't necessarily earn more when the L$ to USD exchange rate goes down.

This is how markets work. If you don't like how much you're making you need to innovate, raise prices or find a way to obtain more market share. LL has no obligation to do this for you.

Why help the breeders ? doesn't everybody who sells is having this same issue? ...
Don't you think LL isn't aware?... you can bet they know exactly what's going on ; see also the several discussions on the forums.

it used to be around 500K to earn 2k usd, this is seriously going to be the final nail in SL's coffin
