Viewer Bug Reports

In Pony Play we have something called "Quick Jump" this is where you put a tick in the setting "Preferences > Move & View > Movement > Disable waiting for pre-jump and landing". As a ponygirl this is absolutely banned. However, I see the quick jump motion from time to time even though I don't have this option ticked. It usually happens if I'm doing a series of jumps in a row. This occasional missing of the prejump and landing animations can be seen in SL Viewer, FireStorm viewer Kokua viewer and Alchemy viewer. I see it least often when using the SL official viewer, however the fact that this occurrs in all viewers suggests it is a bug in the under lying code. Observations in the Pony community suggests that this has got much more worse since the PBR update. The time when it is seen is when you hold the jump key to do a series of jumps. When you click the Search-button or hit CTRL+F the viewer's search window takes a very long time before it's usable. In my quick tests it took around 6 seconds before the website was showing and another 6 seconds before the Cookies-popup appeared. Re-opening the window does not seem to change wait times a lot, and also the Cookies-popup keeps re-appearing. Furthermore, once the website has appeared after the initial 6 seconds, it's not clear to the user that the text input field often isn't ready yet which may add to frustration when they click the input field but the cursor won't jump into it. The website https://search.secondlife.com works just fine for me in any regular browser outside of the viewer, showing instantly. Making the search window faster and more responsive may help the general acceptance of the viewer's web search. Most people who I know prefer the old "Places" search that is still part of many 3rd party viewers. Similar issue applies to World > Events.

Moving linksets in mouse look have an issue where they break apart when the agent moves. This can only be seen by the user in mouse look. People looking at you while this is happening do not see the same thing nor do you the user see the same behavor out of mouse look. When opening the inventory, it's missing many items. I have to open a second inventory window for everything to show. Clearing cache and even reinstalling doesn't seem to solve this problem. I always have to open a second inventory window to gain access to my full inventory, The first window that opens mostly shows empty folders. The recents filters don't seem to work in the first inventory window either, I always have to open a second Inventory window and then everything only shows up in the second inventory window.

* Details When chatting, received Japanese messages are sometimes garbled. Garbled messages will display correctly when you select the string. However, if the selection is deselected, the string reverts to a garbled state. If the chat window is closed and reopened, the garbled text will not display properly. Receiving other messages may cause garbled messages to appear normal. * Steps to Reproduce We do not know if this phenomenon occurs only in Japanese or in other languages as well. Also, the only known way to reproduce it is to keep chatting for a long time (more than about 30 minutes). This is only happening with ExtraFPS, not with viewers up to DeltaFPS. There seems to be a problem with the processing changed in ExtraFPS.

When a probe larger than 64x64x64 is created, all other reflection probes stop baking normally. They will still update on forced changes but will not update over time. Fixing this behavior or disabling probes above 64m are both acceptable fixes.

When the SL viewer is running, and I toggle to another computer and then toggle back, the SL viewer freezes / is non-responsive. Also, any typing I do with other programs is affected, where characters are dropped and others are repeated. After about 2-3 minutes, SL viewer will occasionally un-freeze and resume as normal but in most cases I have to kill it and start the viewer again. UPDATE: Just toggled and SL viewer again froze. However, I can still hear regional audio from the viewer, so it makes me wonder if its just the visual aspect that is frozen.

Rez a no-copy item from your inventory into a place where you do not have rez rights OR onto most pieces of mesh (eg, not a SL prim, not the bare ground). You get a message saying that you can't rez the item here. The item is no longer in your inventory The item will only be restored to you if you quit SL and restart your viewer. So, the server knows that the item isn't going to be rezzed, the viewer knows that the item did not rez, the server knows the item is still in your inventory...and yet the viewer will not show that item until it is completely restarted. It should be clear why this is undesirable. This behavior currently occurs in all viewers, and has done so for many, many years.
