Ty for upping groups number for subscribers recently! I wanted to take the moment to address the other half of the issue. One reason we keep hitting our group limit as time goes on is usually that we acquire more and more paid groups. Some of these have store perks, monthly gifts, etc., and some are just to keep the spam out. Either way, it's a literal cost any time we drop a group paid for some need like property rentals, and re-join it later. Proposal: Add a setting, off by default for backwards compatibility, to groups that have a fee to join, called "Allow auto-rejoin." This setting is greyed out for free groups. When a user leaves a paid group and this setting is turned ON, record the group's UUID on the user's account profile as a "previous group." When a user attempts to rejoin a paid group, you check whether the group's UUID is in their "previous group" list. If so, then you: Check if the rejoin group setting is still active If yes , show a Rejoin button and permit rejoining for free. If no , show the regular button for paying to join. Again, off by default , store groups decide whether to offer this feature. Benefits: We reduce the demand for infinitely increasing group caps (and all the server load it entails). We give users a completely automatic way to be able to rejoin groups they paid for if the group permits it. We give group owners control over whether to use it—and whether to turn it off.
