Feature Requests

This request had been accepted by Spidey Linden here https://github.com/secondlife/jira-archive/issues/11574 but we believe it was forgotten when this feedback repository was created. Initially we requested it from Firestorm and Beq Janus followed up to LL here: https://jira.firestormviewer.org/browse/FIRE-33373 Jnakagawa and I have a couple hundreds of LGBTQ+ customers that have 2 very tall avatars eager to have this feature implemented since that time. The system is called Paragon Couples HUD and we hope we can include this community and their avatar height preferences in our reliable no pose balls HUD used by a couple thousands.

Ability to move any pop up window ei. chat inventory group notices off the viewer and to another monitor or even the same monitor to give a cleaner in world experience

Currently, closing a group requires the group owner to first eject every single member. This sends a message to every member that makes them worry that they've done something wrong. Please add a method for silently removing all members when disbanding the group. Alternatively, consider a term less pointed than "ejected" in IM notification sent to each member, or allow the person performing the ejection to include the reason for removal.

Save SLURL to LM folder for later use

Sometimes you just want to log in without anyone on your friends list knowing you are online. Put a button on the log in screen that will allow a user to log in and be invisible to anyone on your friends list for that session or till you change it.

During recent maintenance, I noticed that the login failure messages remain generic (as always), and this led me to worry that someone had stolen my account!! It turns out it was just maintenance. I think the current generic message can lead to confusion and anxiety among residents (like me), especially those not used to checking the Second Life grid status. Would you consider adding a feature to improve this by showing different messages when the reason is a network failure and/or maintenance (either combined or, if possible, separate)? So users would know the reason before worrying that their accounts have been taken over by evil people. (^_^;) I think this could save residents from panicking and probably prevent unnecessary support cases (as you can see in here... so support people can spend their valuable time on other more important matters to help residents?). Something along the lines of...: ---------------------------------------------- Grid is Currently Under Maintenance: ★ The Grid/Login system is currently under maintenance. Please try again later. You can check the status of the maintenance here: https://status.secondlifegrid.net/ ---------------------------------------------- Network Failure: ★ It seems the Internet is unreachable. Please check your network connection and firewall settings. You can check your internet connection by trying to open this page in your browser: https://secondlife.com/ ---------------------------------------------- (Obviously, the wording needs to be edited by professionals hehe...)

It would be nice to have a the current feature that exists in firestorm, Build in AO so your not forced to use a hud.

The ability to log out of Second Life®, without exiting the viewer would be useful for people who have multiple avatars, scripted agents, etc.

Your build tools are red, green, blue. Colour blindness and age-related disorders can make viewing these three specific colours difficult. There is no way in the UI to change them to different colours or introduce a lighter outline around the tool to see them against dark backgrounds, etc.
