I created a group several years ago for my store, and I wish I had the ability to change the group name (to remove brackets, change a word, etc.). I'd even be willing to pay a small fee for this (similar to changing my avatar name, but maybe payable in Lindens...like paying to partner/unpartner).

I propose creating a server-side URL filter for group chats that includes predefined whitelist and blacklist options. Group owners would be able to manage which types of URLs are permitted in their group by selecting settings in the group profile. The options would be "No URLs at all," "Only whitelisted URLs," and "Everything except blacklisted URLs," with the latter set as the default. The blacklist would contain URLs identified as harmful (such as phishing sites) and should be regularly maintained by the abuse team as a priority. Whitelists would consist of URLs generally regarded as safe, including image/video hosting sites, social media platforms, and sites operated by LindenLab. Optionally, the whitelist could be divided into categories like LindenLab-operated sites, social media, and others for more detailed control. All list contents should be publicly available on a LindenLab website to avoid any claims of censorship. Group-owners, Lindens and Moles would be exempt from these filters, with anything they post automatically approved by the filter.

I think that the group owner the one that started the group should be able to remove and and all avitar the assign to the role of "OWNER" when people leave the group . It would be very much handy then having to wait on a trouble ticket.

I have been in bussiness for over 17 years in sl with the same group, I would love to add the word "Rentals" to the end of the group name so it explains what the group is about and is easier to find, if we can rename AV's, surely we can rename groups? the only way to rename a group at the present is to create a new group, evict everyone from the old group then invite them to the new group.

It would be helpful for groups, especially those that have changed hands once or more, to display their formation date on their profiles to celebrate anniversaries.

Like the notes tab available for user profiles, a notes tab for group profiles. For say, tracking group join fee prices, for example. Or making note of why we joined that group in the first place. Or club schedules.

A Group owner or admin can post a notice in the group. They then can tag a box so that this group notice will not expire/disappear in 2 weeks. This will be helpful when you want an object or notecard or certain instructional messages to be available for a longer period. It would prevent me (and other group owners/officers) from having to repost certain things (and forgetting that i have to) I also see it in other groups where admins point to a notice with instructions or an object and then realize it is gone and they have to hurry to repost. It could be limited to a certain number to not strain servers but i think it would bring server load down. I am not that tech savvy so i hope i explained it well.

Lately a lot of SL groups have been getting hit by spammers posting phishing links that look like real Marketplace stores. Here’s an example of the kind of thing going around: [12:16:37] Rẙaḽīể (ryalie): New store! Outfit + Shape, Everything is free, limited quantity https://marketplacsecondlife-style-body-mesh-catwa-185089.store It’s clearly meant to trick people, and residents are falling for it because it looks close-ish to a legit SL URL. People are losing their Lindens because their accounts become compromised, thinking they’re logging into a trusted site. The scammers then use those compromised accounts to spam other groups (sometimes even pay-to-join ones), which just keeps the cycle going and leads to more stolen Lindens and MORE hacked accounts. My suggestion is to remove clickable URLs in group chat and IMs unless they’re from trusted sites. Maybe have a whitelist for known, safe domains like: marketplace.secondlife.com secondlife.com community.secondlife.com flickr.com primfeed.com gyazo.com Or other KNOWN and trusted sites. Everything else could just show up as plain text or with a warning before opening. Other possible options could include: color-coding links (safe ones in green, unverified ones in grey or red), adding a short delay before opening non-trusted URLs (“This link will open in 5 seconds”), or even giving users a setting in Preferences to allow clickable links from trusted domains only. This would stop a lot of the spam and protect people from phishing. It would also cut down the workload for in-world group moderators (who constantly have to boot spammers) and reduce support tickets from compromised accounts; meaning less work for your support team, cost savings for you, and a safer experience for everyone. A way to organize joined groups would be so handy. Alphabetical order only goes so far, especially when you're in lots of groups and a lot of them use special characters so it breaks everything out of order. I find it quite chaotic to look through my full groups list for the tag I need because of this. Having the ability to create folders to seperate shopping groups from RP groups for example would make it easier to find what someone needs, because there'd be less names to read at a glance in a folder.

An option on a group so that it doesn’t show on your profile unless the person viewing the profile is also in that group. So if turned on only people in that group can see you are in that group
